MANNING & ASSOCIATES SECURITY personnel receive at a minimum 24 hours of classroom training. This training is conducted by our Certified Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Officer. During this training, security officers are exposed to Basic Patrol Functions. All security personnel are required to complete this basic training with a passing score of at least 90%.
Most states require that security guards be licensed, requirements vary widely by states. Many require applicants be at least 18 years old, pass a background check and a drug test, and complete training in such subjects as property rights, emergency procedures, and detention of suspected criminals.
Manning's training is designed to aide security departments and officers in the development of effective security techniques. From the personnel screening and selection process, we ensure that proper, cost-efficient training is conducted. Using the building block and progressive method approach allows our staff to become increasingly more effective and more confident. Both flexible and feasible, these tools allow security practitioners to adapt themselves as needed in different environments.
